How to pick the right courier bag size
Courier bag sizes are written as width × length in inches, measured flat. The length usually includes the sealing flap. To find your size:
- Pack the product the way you will ship it (folded, in its inner pouch or box).
- Measure its length, width and thickness (height) in inches.
- As a simple rule of thumb, the bag width should be at least product width + thickness. The bag length should be at least product length + thickness + about 2 inches for the seal.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the bigger one for thick or soft items like clothes, and the smaller one for flat items like documents or phone covers.

Micron is the thickness of the plastic film (1 micron = 0.001 mm). A thicker bag resists tearing and punctures better. 55 micron is a sturdy everyday grade for clothing, accessories and boxed products sent by courier.
