Starting on Meesho is easy, but every order still has to reach the buyer safe, sealed and looking right. Good packaging cuts returns and damage claims, and the right size keeps your shipping cost low. This guide lists what a new Meesho seller needs, how much to buy at the start, and how to pack common products.
What you need to start
- Tamper proof courier bags for clothes, sarees, kurtis, bedsheets and other soft items. Our Meesho courier bags are 55 micron, white outside and black inside so the contents stay private.
- Mailer boxes for items that can bend or break, such as jewellery, cosmetics, small electronics and gifts. See brown and white mailer boxes.
- Shipping labels: a thermal label roll if you use a thermal printer. Our thermal label sizes guide explains 4×6 vs 3×5.
- Packing tape for boxes, including Meesho printed tape for a neat, consistent look.
- Bubble wrap for anything fragile. Start with a short roll from 5 metres.
How much to buy at the start
You do not need to buy in bulk on day one. Our packs are small, so you can test sizes and reorder as orders grow:
- Courier bags in packs of 100, in two or three sizes that fit your products.
- Mailer boxes in packs of 25.
- Packing tape from 2 rolls and bubble wrap from 5 metres.

Packing tips that reduce returns
- Fold clothes neatly and press out extra air before sealing the bag.
- Use a box, not a bag, for anything that can break, bend or leak, and fill gaps so nothing moves.
- Put the shipping label on a flat area, away from the seal strip, and do not cover the barcode with tape.
