Box or bag? Pick by product
- Clothes, scarves, soft toys: a tamper proof courier bag is light and keeps courier charges low. Use a mailer box when you want a gift-like unboxing. Our courier bag vs box guide explains when to use which.
- Jewellery, cosmetics, candles, handmade gifts: a mailer box protects the product and looks good when opened. Add honeycomb paper or bubble wrap around anything that can break.
- Heavier or multiple items: a 3 ply shipping box. Use 5 ply only for heavy or very fragile goods.
Choose two or three sizes, not one
Measure your products and pick the closest box, with about 1 to 2 cm of space for wrapping. Most small brands do well with a small, a medium and one larger size. Make a small order look like a brand
- White mailer boxes take stickers and stamps well, so a simple logo sticker makes a plain box look branded.
- Crinkle shredded paper fills space and makes the unboxing look neat for photos and reels.
- Add a small thank-you card with your Instagram handle, so happy buyers can tag you.
- Seal boxes with one clean strip of tape; too much tape looks messy and is hard to open.
When to order more
Keep enough stock for about two weeks of orders and reorder the sizes you use most. Small packs let you test a new size before you buy more. When you ship many orders a week, ask for a bulk quote.
